nano analytik is a small team of engineers, physicists and scientists building instruments that push the limits of what is measurable. Our active-cantilever AFM technology is in demand from research labs and from semiconductor metrology, and our orders are growing faster than our current production set-up can support. We are looking for an experienced operations leader to run the Ilmenau site and build the structures that let us grow with confidence. Your role: You take full responsibility for day-to-day operations in Ilmenau: production, engineering and system integration, quality, supply chain, delivery, and customer technical support. You lead the existing team, build it up where needed, and own the budget and results of the site. You work closely with the CEO and leadership team on the roadmap and on delivery commitments to customers and partners. Your first 12–18 months: • Industrialize production: Set up a clean assembly cell, make cantilever and diamond-tip assembly repeatable, and significantly increase output. • Capture know-how: Document processes, designs and test procedures so that every critical step is held by more than one person. • Build the operating system: Establish and maintain a quality management system in line with ISO 9001, and strengthen validation and calibration processes, supply-chain resilience, planning, and delivery and installation processes that work for OEM and semiconductor industry customers. • Strengthen the team: Develop key people, fill the gaps, and manage research grants and development projects alongside commercial orders. Your profile: • 10 or more years in precision instrumentation, semiconductor equipment, MEMS or comparable high-tech manufacturing, including at least 5 years leading a site or function with 20 or more people. • Proven track record of taking a product from prototype or small series to repeatable production. • Hands-on understanding of cleanroom or lab-based processes and the demands of semiconductor customers; a technical degree (engineering, physics or similar). • Budget and P&L responsibility, and experience with ISO 9001 systems and supply-chain management. • Fluent German and English. We're expanding our team and are looking for an experienced MEMS Fabrication Engineer to join us full-time! If you have hands-on experience with MEMS technology and a strong background in cleanroom processing, microfabrication, and process development, we'd love to hear from you. Experience with techniques such as photolithography, thin-film deposition, dry and wet etching, wafer bonding, and device characterization is highly valued.
